he present Halstead in Bloom was formed in 1999 with the aim of clearing, cleaning and brightening Halstead for the benefit of residents, those who work in the Town and our many visitors.

We are a team of volunteers, and we have formed a strong partnership with Essex County Council, Braintree District Council and Halstead Town Council and this close co-operation has given the Town success in the Anglia in Bloom competition.

In 2004, 2005, 2006,2007 and 2008 Halstead was been awarded Silver-Gilt status being judged against other communities across the six counties of the East.  In 2009,2010,2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Halstead attained a Gold award, and was also judged Best Town.
